Manager/Senior Barber: 1 full time Position Available

Location: Mississauga

  • Interview, hire, train, and promote employees

  • Oversee and manage the barbers’ schedules

  • Barber training in the latest techniques

  • Perform thorough consultations with all clients. Identifies problems, and suggests haircuts according to the clients hairstyle, lifestyle and trends.

  • Maintain a positive experience with the client throughout each service

  • Scissor, clipper and razorblade knowledge

  • Suggest and style the clients hair with products accordingly

  • Use tools such as clips, combs, brushes and hair dryer to style the hair

  • Team motivation and individual motivation on regular basis

  • Help barbers reach their set goals

  • Stay informed on the latest trends and haircare techniques

  • Continue to maintain and improve technical knowledge by attending educational courses, workshops, reviewing videos and books as needed

  • Oversee studio overall condition in terms of cleanliness, appearance, safety

  • Ensure supplies and retail inventory is always stocked

  • Banking and budgeting

  • Set and hold monthly team meetings

  • Manage and train the Supervisor

  • Quarterly one-on-one Development and Goals meetings with each staff member.

  • Book at least 4 Team Outings per year

Barber: 1 Full Time Position Available
Location: Mississauga

An effective communicator who can build long lasting relationships with clients and teammates. Someone who will always welcome constructive criticism, a keen personality with great attention to detail.

Duties (include but not limited to)

  • Perform thorough consultations with all clients. Identifies problems, and suggests haircuts according to the clients hairstyle, lifestyle and trends.

  • Maintain a positive experience with the client throughout each service

  • Scissor, clipper and razorblade knowledge

  • Suggest and style the clients hair with products accordingly

  • Use tools such as clips, combs, brushes and hair dryer to style the hair

  • Perform beard and mustache cuts and trims with tools such as clippers, scissors and razor blades

  • Perform hot towel shaves

  • Perform blackhead removal and waxing services

  • Apply and perform hair and beard grey coverage

  • Complete Hair and Scalp treatments services

  • Educate clients on styling products and services being used and all other services that the shop provides

  • Maintain the safety of clients by applying standards of the barbershop and legal regulations

  • Stay informed on the latest trends and haircare techniques

  • Continue to maintain and improve technical knowledge by attending educational courses, workshops, reviewing videos and books as needed

  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of the shop

  • Records services and receive payments from clients. Maintain financial or account records

  • Replenish supplies on an as needed basis

  • Broom and mop the floors, clean the stations

  • Daily thorough cleanse of all tools used, refill the barbicide as per Health and Safety

  • Replenish towels on the shelves and hot towel machine

Good to have: Hairstyling school, Hairstyling license

Videographer/TikTok Content Creator (3-month contract)

Note: Candidate must be Canadian/PR holder and resides in the GTA. International students/work permit holders are not eligible.

CADMEN Barbershop - Academy - Clinic is looking for a Social Media Rock Star who is able to

  • Create a large amount of aesthetically visual content for the brand's social media

  • Film and edit trendy videos for TikTok and Reels

  • Film and edit podcasts and long educational videos for YouTube

  • Write compelling captions for social media and website content

  • Support the team in proofreading written content

  • Support in other digital marketing strategies

Requirements:

  • Eligible for the Government funding program (Canadian/PR holder/refugee, age 18-29)

  • Background in Marketing, Graphic Design, Photo/Videography, or related fields

  • Proficient in using Adobe products

  • Proficient in taking photos and videos

  • Being able to stay on top of social media trends

  • Experience or knowledge in website design (WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace) and coding (HTML, CSS, Javascript) is an asset, but not required

  • Good creativity ability and aesthetic taste

  • Team-player, diligent, eager to learn

Contract details:

  • 3-month contract. Domestic students looking for a coop/internship placement are welcome to apply

  • Flexible, part-time 20-30 hours per week

  • Most tasks can be done remotely

  • Pay rate: $15-17 per hour
