“If I could turn back the time, the first thing I would do is finding a mentor, so that I could get to where I am today in 5 years, instead of 19 years”

Francis Paua, CADMEN Master Barber

Do any of these sound familiar to you?

  • You want to make a big change in your career as a barber but still get stuck in the same old way

  • You are passionate about being a barber, but you lack confidence and support from experienced barbers

  • You don’t know what you want to do in the hair industry: Men’s hair, women’s hair, colour, or everything

  • You don’t know where to start: Practice cutting family and friends, work as an apprentice, or go to school for 1-2 years?

  • And countless other concerns about barbering but you don’t know anyone experienced enough to answer.

If they do sound familiar to you, it means you need a mentor!

Before cutting celebrities, Francis used to cut his family and friends in his dad’s garage. It took Francis only a few years to become a good barber, but it took him 10 years to open the first CADMEN Barbershop and several years later to grow the shop into a franchise.

Why did it take Francis that long? Because he didn’t have a mentor at the beginning of his career. A mentor is the one who can see the strengths and weaknesses in you better than you can. They know how to differentiate you from other aspiring barbers and give you a long-term vision that shows the way to achieve the pinnacle of your career in the shortest time, instead of you figuring out the way on your own, making your own costly mistakes, and then getting lost.

The whole process could have been 5 years, instead of 19 years for Francis. So, don’t repeat the same mistake that Francis made. Let Francis and Rocky be your mentors, so you can confidently enter the barber world and achieve your career goals in the shortest time.
