There are a variety of beard styles, trims, looks, and cuts out there to match anyone's style, and for the Spring 2022 season, there are a couple of looks that are becoming increasingly popular. The weather is warming up and so is the interest in shorter beard cuts, as is common in warm weather, in the winter longer hair, beard, and clothes are in style, whereas during the warmer months, less is considered more. Corporate Beard

As the name would suggest the corporate beard can be sported by any man, and looks neat, trimmed, and appropriate for any setting, including the office, as a corporate board room. This beard style is kept close-cropped, at around 2 to 3 inches, making it very maintainable, however for this length of beard some men may have issues with patchiness. If you do not have a dense beard, it may look slightly disconnected at this length which could be a result of genetics, as most facial hair is. 

As this look is referred to as the corporate beard, it is important to maintain it and keep it groomed regularly, ensuring it is trim and tidy. This can be difficult as there are up to 30 thousand hairs in men’s beards on average, and because of this not all hairs will grow at the same speed, length, density, or in the same direction, so keeping your beard in tip-top shape is imperative! 

Short boxed beard

Nicely maintained facial hair is always in style, and the short boxed beard is a fantastic way to look neat and trim, but still have a nice full beard. This specific style is a unique spin on the classic and previously mentioned corporate beard but is more angular in its variation. It also has a little more heft in the chin, which helps to accentuate the jawline with its sharp edges. The nice taper of this beard makes it a great option for any face shape, including oval and oblong face shapes, as the sharp angles create a more masculine appearance of the jawline, to help balance out the naturally soft edges of those face shapes. Short rounded beard 

Another variation on the timeless corporate beard, which is so popular for its versatility in the variety of ways you can style it, as is seen here, is known as the short rounded beard. This is another popular choice for men during the Spring and Summer months who want to not only stay cool but look cool. This style of beard is popular for men with square, diamond, and round faces as it goes along the natural curve of their faces but does not add too much additional bulk in the cheek area. As these face shapes tend to be broader beards with a lot of volume and length in the cheeks can create a full looking cheek effect, sometimes referred to as chipmunk cheeks, and while chipmunks are cute and Spring themed, that is not the exact “spring” look you are going for this season. Keepin’ It Short 

If it is 20 degrees Celsius outside, would you grab a winter coat and throw it on before you head out? Not. The same thing can be said about beards, when it comes to the winter months, nothing beats a nice long, full beard, but when it starts warming up again it is time to start thinking about getting a chop. Why not keep it short and sweet for a while? Spring is a transitional period and a wonderful time to go from a long beard to a shorter beard if that suits your taste. Power Beard with Well Trimmed Mustache

For those of you who still really do not want to let go of your longer beards, we hear you too, and we have you covered. The power beard is the perfect beard because it is not long, but it is not short, like the middle child. Like the information corporate beard, the Power beard means serious business and it is a hardcore cut that walks the line between a contemporary style and a more rugged style. 

This type of beard tends to be around 4 to 6 inches, where its unique style can show. It can be paired with many assorted styles of mustache including the walrus mustache or the well-trimmed mustache, which is recommended here. Sometimes this beard is worn curly, in a spade shape, straight or wavy, it all depends on your unique personality and choices. A well-trimmed mustache is recommended because the hair is trimmed so it does not overlap with the upper lip, but it goes along with the natural line of your mouth. This is great for avoiding getting things in your mustache, like food, as it is kept neat, trim, and tidy!
